Epona Hamdan works as a curator, critical companion and creative producer in the liberal performing arts. Her practice focuses on questions of anti-colonial futures, critical pedagogies and the development of new forms of organisation with a focus on inter- and transdisciplinary practices as well as practices that move outside of a disciplinary classification. In the summer of 2022, Epona Hamdan was selected by the 12th Berlin Biennale as an emerging curator for the programme "It Speaks to Me" and was co-curator of the event "We gave up your Wor(l)ds and took back our Dreams".

Epona has worked as a creative producer for Rimini Protokoll, Ballhaus Naunynstraße, Akademie der Autodidakten and the Arab Film Festival, among others. She studied 'Theatre Studies', 'Islamic Studies' and 'English Philology' at the Freie Universität Berlin and completed the course 'Curating in  Performing Arts' at Paris -Lodron-Universität Salzburg.

Within produktionsbande, Epona curates the currently running event series [un]learning structures together with Nara Virgens and Melmun Bajarchuu and is co-founder of the residency programme.
