final meeting in presence
A common final meeting will take place in presence at the big network meeting of produktionsbande between 11/17 - 11/19/2023. The facilitated final meeting of the mentoring program is expected to take place on Friday, 11/17/2023 approximately from 10:00 - 14:00.
The format addresses all those whose work is located in the broadest sense at the interfaces between art practice and structures, between organization and administration. It is aimed at artistic producers, production managers, performing arts managers, distributors.
You can become a mentor or mentee if you consider yourself to belong to the above-mentioned group and are interested in a supra-regional exchange with colleagues. In mentoring you can exchange ideas: About different experiences, your attitudes in your work practice and the design of artistic production processes.
The central approach of the format is that interested people choose for themselves whether they want to be a mentor or a mentee, especially regardless of your age.
We understand cross-generational exchange as being determined by varying factors such as the duration of work in the field or the specific focus and expertise that producers have in their practice.
mentors hold space for the mentees in the individual meetings and have the opportunity to exchange with other mentors in the informal meetings that take place online.
In the individual meetings, mentees have the opportunity to reflect on and develop their own practice in resonance with the experiences of the mentors and have the opportunity to exchange with other mentees in the informal meetings that take place online.
In the selection process, we pay attention to whether applicants exclusively produce their own projects - but are primarily active as artists, curators, etc. - and thus do not directly correspond to the target group, or whether they design the production processes as production managers with and for third parties.
The selection will be made by a rotating selection committee of produktionsbande which also proposes duo constellations.
For mentors and mentees, produktionsbande covers the following fees and costs: Expense allowance of € 1,000.00 net for mentors and € 700 net for mentees.
Travel and accommodation expenses in accordance with the Federal Travel Expenses Act (BRKG) and additional catering expenses in accordance with the BRKG for the large network meeting in november.
More information on additional expense allowances for the big network meeting will soon be available at the event big network meeting 2023.
In addition, produktionsbande offers mentors the opportunity to receive individual support from members of the mentoring working group.
The mentoring program is an evolving format, the process of which we are currently developing and practicing. In doing so, we try to be aware of and respond to barriers, to reduce them as much as possible.
The kick-off meeting will take place via Zoom, here you can you can leave your camera on or off, there will be exchange in the big group as well as in breakout rooms. We will include breaks. For the self-organized meetings you can choose together in your duo, which medium and duration is convenient for your meetings. The big network meeting will take place in Leipzig and mostly in Dresden at Villa Wigman. All participants will be accommodated in single rooms in hotels, which are located as close as possible to the venue. Comfortable seating such as bean bags will be provided, as well as catering and breaks. Some program points like workshops can be chosen by you.
More information about barrier reduction at the big network meeting will soon be available on the event page. If you have any questions about the accessibility of the application process and during the mentoring program, feel free to contact Sofie via mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
