gefährliche banden is an exchange format between the two networks gefährliche arbeit and produktionsbande – network performing arts producers where we talk about the practices, needs and visions for the collaboration of producers and technical directors as well as departments within independent scene productions. The format invites everyone related to the technical and/or production fields to share thoughts on how to make the collaboration between the fields more productive, smooth and cute.

This second exchange is facilitated by Anahí Pérez and Rosa Wernecke of Gefährliche Arbeit and Joelle Burrichter of produktionsbande.

The first exchange session in October 2024 focussed on the process of a full new production from application phase to post-production. The wonderful group of participants generated a whole resource that has been edited and enriched by network members in the meantime.
In this online edition of gefährliche banden, we will introduce, share and discuss this resource with the participants before we dive into the next themes. We would like to continue with a focus on touring: which steps are part of touring from the perspectives of producers and technical directors or departments? Which good practices do we know? what is missing? How do we budget? How do we advocate with and for each other? What do adaptations mean for the tech and production people? What information and time do people need when they take over a show as operators? How can we approach things together with mutual understanding of each other’s practice and needs? Let’s be-come more dangerous together!

There will be breaks.
We may move to breakout rooms for smaller groups during the exchange.
This is an exchange-based format, so it would be great if participants want to participate, verbally or in writing in the chat.

Gefährliche Arbeit e.V. is an association for the networking and promotion of queer-feminist FLINTA* theatre makers who work behind, in front of and next to the stage between art and technology. The association organises workshops, networking meetings and discourse formats and offers a digital platform for exchange at www.gefaehrlichearbeit.de.
Rosa Wernecke is a performance and media artist specialising in lighting and video design.
Anahí Pérez is a freelance lighting designer and technical director in the theatre and performance context.

joelle burrichter is an active member of produktionsbande.
sofie luckhardt is active at produktionsbande and part of the coordination team as contact person for formats from 09/2022 - 09/2025.

The session is aimed at all interested parties from the areas of production, technical direction or management and artistic/technical departments.
